Bobbie Clarence Spivey Boondry, 91, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 17, 2022 after a long illness.
Bobbie was born September 17, 1931 in Lyons, Georgia to the late, Clarence Spivey and Dessie Jane Warnock Spivey. Before she went to live at the nursing home in Ludowici Bobbie was very active in her community and gave so much of herself by helping others. She worked part time at the Midway Museum with her sister, Joann Clark. Bobbie gave tours, ran the gift shop inside and helped with special programs.
Bobbie continued serving others by sewing for the patients at the nursing home in Midway. Each year at Christmas she would give each person at the nursing home a handwritten Christmas card with a Bible verse in it, she also enclosed a one dollar bill in the envelope. Bobbie also made lap blankets, pillows, and dolls which she gave to the patients. She was the first person in Liberty County to be named Person of the Year for her many contributions to the community. Bobbie will be dearly missed by the many people she met and the many lives she touched.
Bobbie is survived by her niece, Dianne Behrens (Tony); her nephews, Timothy Clark (Carol) and Joel Clark (Lynn) ; and several great nieces and nephews.
