Bobby Howard Oglesby, 61, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2021 with family by his side.
Bobby was born on March 23, 1960 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Alfred and Mynnette (Benion) Oglesby. He grew up in the Ogeechee Farms Neighborhood and spent most of his days on the river. He loved to go fishing anytime he could go, he just enjoyed being out on there on the water. Bobby was a painter by trade and enjoyed working with his hands and building things. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mike Oglesby. Bobby will be dearly missed by his children and those that loved him. “I love you so much, bigger than the sky, bigger than the whole wide world, bigger than the universe”.
Bobby is survived by his children, Ayla Oglesby, twin sons, Kaleb Oglesby and Jacob Oglesby and step-son, Joseph Kaufman; siblings, Jerry, Linda, Alfred Jr., Lynette, Brenda, Wanda and Wayne; numerous nieces and nephews and ex-wife and close friend, Mavis Hardman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are welcome to stay after the service and share stories and visit.
