Charles W. Haymans, Jr., known by friends and family as Chuck, passed away peacefully at his home on May 16, 2026.
Chuck was born on February 21, 1954 to Joyce M Perry and Charles W Haymans, who raised him in Fleming, Georgia. He graduated from Bradwell Institute with the class of 1972 and later obtained his electrical license from North Georgia Technical Institute. Chuck served in the United States Army then worked in waste water management and later retired from the U.S. Department of Defense as an electrical estimator. His favorite tales came from times on the road while building power lines and hunting with his friends. He was the cornerstone of his family, who made extraordinary sacrifices for others. A man of great wit, grit, and deep faith.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Karen Haymans, daughters, Teresa Steen(Lloyd)and Katie Haymans, three grandsons Kelly Keeler, Whitman Steen, and Hayes Steen and two special nephews Wesley Rozier and Cody Rozier. He is remembered fondly by his step daughters, sister, and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers: Cody Rozier, Wesley Rozier, Wesley King, Doug Hamsher, Emery Phillips, Lloyd Steen and George Harris.
In lieu of flowers: He would ask you to donate to Les Feldick Ministries and his girls ask that you spend a day outside in the sunshine with your family.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 11:00 am at Fleming Baptist Church with Rev. Joshua Parker officiating.
