Christina Marie Nieves

Christina Marie Nieves, 35, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 at 4:45 am in Augusta, Georgia following a courageous battle with leptomeningeal disease.

Born on June 26, 1990 in New York City to Nancy Nieves (deceased) and Basilio Nieves (deceased) and is survived by her sister, Evita Alvarez, her husband, Cory Blanton, and daughters, Brooklynn and Rowan Blanton. Christina was beloved for her unwavering devotion to family and friends. She loved various genres of music, reading, baking, and having family movie night with her daughters.

Since her lung cancer diagnosis in 2020, Christina has faced unimaginable hardships, including vision loss in 2022 and subsequently mobility issues since December 2024. She will live on in her husband and their children. Christina is at peace with her parents in heaven. “Watch over our family and guide us to our own salvation.” “What we have once enjoyed deeply, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington with Pastor Alan Stewart officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
