Clinton Lethridge Dowdy

Clinton Lethridge Dowdy, 62, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 with his best friend, David Inferrera, by his side.

Clinton was born October 6, 1963 in Savannah, Georgia to parents, Lethridge Hugh Dowdy and the late, Jane Diane Watkins Dowdy. He grew up in Effingham County and was a graduate of Effingham County High School. Clinton was an avid outdoorsman who especially liked to fish, hunt, and camping out. He also loved watching his favorite show, The Waltons. Clinton was a carpenter by trade and was good at his job as a carpenter which he took great pride in. Clinton was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Dowdy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Clinton is survived by his father, Lethridge Hugh Dowdy; his children, Christina Dowdy Cason and Autumn Dowdy Hernandez (Leonardo); (sisters, Tandy Dowdy Derringer (Kent) and Telleah Dowdy Bodnar (Emerick); brother, Clayton Dowdy; grandchildren, Jasmine, Lilly, Matthew, Dasie, Tony, Sofia, and Iker; great grandchildren, Jackson and Ella; nieces, Makaila and Layla; nephew, Jayden and his best friend of 30 years, David Inferrera.
