David S. Martin, Jr.

As a life-long resident of Liberty County, David Sipple Martin, Jr. was born on September 12, 1986 (he and his father shared the same birthday) to David and Janice Martin. He sadly passed from this life on August 28, 2023.

Throughout his school years, David loved to play in-line hockey and excelled at the sport. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish and play golf. He had a way with animals and cared for many pets. He attended Liberty County High School. 

After high school, David worked in plumbing, heating & air, and home renovations. He had recently started his own home renovation business. He had a multitude of skills and talents and was always very giving of his time and expertise. David was also very creative and enjoyed metal working, gun collecting, and working on all of his automotive projects.  

David will be most remembered for his willingness to help others wherever he saw a need. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by Ashley Martin, the mother of his children: Sandra Nichole Hamilton, Kayleigh Elizabeth Martin, and David Jackson (DJ) Martin. His parents: David and Janice Martin. His sister: Kristen (Matt) Stone and nephew, Jackson Martin Stone. He is also survived by his grandmother, Virginia Crosby and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington with Rev. Ben Beasley officiating accompanied by Mrs. Laura Martin on the piano. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Flemington Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Tyler Rose, Paul Martin, Fleming Martin, Ross Floyd, Marty Martin and AJ Bonacci.
