David Aaron Selph

David Aaron Selph, 44, went to his heavenly home Saturday, August 24, 2024. 

David was born December 21, 1979 in Hinesville, Georgia. He grew up in the Liberty County area where he also attended school. David was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved to bass fish. When he wasn’t working David was in pursuit of that big ‘ole fish. He was a carpenter by trade and was pretty good at his profession. David had a heart of gold and he would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He loved everyone, and he never met a stranger. David was preceded in death his biological father, Don Tilley, adopted father, Russell Selph and special niece, Amber Young.

David loved his family more than anything in the world, and he knew that they loved him unconditionally. He made peace with his past and everyone in it. His love for the Lord became his passion for the past few years, and David wanted to share that passion with everyone he came in contact with. He was actively involved with Freedom Living Ministry in Hazlehurst where he preached and inspired others through his testimony and outreach. David will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be truly missed by so many.

David is survived by his three children, Trent Selph, David Selph and Hailynn Selph; mother, Ann L. Selph Ellison; sister, Lesa Morris (Jeff), brothers, Jonathan Tilley and Mason Selph (Rachel); aunts, uncles, cousins and many other extended family members and friends he considered family.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington with Rev. Robert Locke officiating.

A graveside burial service will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Hinesville cemetery.
