It is with profound sadness and abiding love that we announce the passing of David Malloy Turner, a devoted man of God, a beloved husband, a loving father, and a cherished Papa. David departed this life peacefully on July 11th 2025 at home with his wife Lisa.
Born on April 30th 1964, David lived a life rooted in service, humility, and compassion. He was a man who walked closely with the Lord, not only professing his faith but living it daily through acts of kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion. His life was a testament to grace, and his gentle spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
David was the beloved husband of Lisa M Turner, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage marked by love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they built a home filled with prayer, warmth, and unconditional love.
He was a proud and dedicated father to Alan and Dalton, guiding them with wisdom, patience, and faith. To his grandchildren, he was more than a Papa—he was a storyteller, a teacher, a gentle encourager, and a steadfast source of love and strength.
David's legacy is far and wide. Whether playing his guitar and singing music, riding one of his motorcycles, or simply sharing an encouraging word, he lived to reflect Christ’s love in the world.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Dorothy Turner.
David is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, his daughter in love (Shawty Love), brothers, sister, many neices and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory dear.
A celebration of David's life and faith will be held on Sunday, July 20th at Dawson Farms at 2:00 pm. A procession for family and fellow bikers will meet at Thomas L Carter Funeral Home before heading to Dawson Farms at 1:00 pm.
Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that he is now in the presence of his Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home & Crematory is handling David’s arrangements.
