Duyen “Lynn” Thi Le Potter

Duyen "Lynn" Thi Le Potter went home to Jesus on March 29, 2021 at age 70.

Duyen was born in Bien Hoa, Vietnam. She met her husband, James Potter while he was serving in the Army and they married in Vietnam on August 28, 1970. James later retired from the Army in 1990 and they planted their roots in Hinesville. They were married for 50 years.

She had the biggest heart. She was always so giving and caring. She was constantly cooking for friends and family. Duyen was selfless and would always put people and animals first.  Duyen had such a strong love for all animals. She cared for so many of the stray animals in her neighborhood and made sure they never went hungry.

Duyen was always on the go and just couldn't sit still. She would spend hours gardening. Even her allergies, and all the mosquitoes and gnats biting, couldn't stop her from gardening. Just about every inch of their front, side, and back yard was sprawling with various fruit and vegetable plants and fruit trees.  

One of the things she enjoyed most though was being around her friends playing Bingo. She was quite the jokester there at the bingo hall. She smiled constantly and made people laugh. She had her place there and would always sit at the same spot, the same table. The bingo hall at Fort Stewart will not be the same without her.

Our lives will never be same without her. She touched so many lives.

She is survived by her husband, James and her three children: Anna, James, and Dorothy, and her four grandchildren. 

Duyen "Lynn" Thi Le Potter's memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, April 1st, 2021 at the Connection Church Center, 115 Patriot Trail in Hinesville.
