Elden Ray Quilling, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia passed on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born on June 7, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Elden Ray Sr. and Kathyrn G. (Crabb) Quilling. He went to Precious Blood Grade School and graduated from Meadow Dale High School in 1969. He furthered his education at The Ohio State University. He worked for SERVE-A-PORTION CO. and retired from T. Marzetti Co. Elden volunteered as a Team Captain for The March of Dimes for 24 years in Marietta, GA. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, American Legion and VFW.
Elden is survived by his wife and best friend Susan; daughters Cynthia, of Athens, AL, and Katie, of Denver, CO; son Christopher; grandchildren Nicholas (Tina) Friend, of Ludowici, GA, Laurel (Evan) of Dallas, GA and Allen Quilling of Birmingham, AL; great grand-children Connor and Caleb Friend and Brooks Ray; and brother, Michael Quilling, of Dayton, Ohio.
He is reunited in death with his parents, Elden Ray Sr. and Kathryn Quilling; his sister, Audrey (Organ); and his brother, Gregory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation The Gary Sinise Foundation and The Humane Society of Savannah The Humane Society of Greater Savannah.
Elden’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife, family, and friends.
