Enilda Martinez

Enilda Martinez, 81, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 at home while under the care of hospice. 

Enilda was born on March 15,1942 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico to parents Camila Bayron and Domingo Torres. Enilda spent her most of her young years in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. In 1970 she married the love of her life Angel Martinez. One year later they had their first and only child, Dennis Martinez. Enilda dedicated her life supporting her husband’s business and was a homemaker. She had an amazing talent for arts and crafts and loved drawing, painting, and sewing. Enilda also had a strong passion for working in her garden and grew all types of flowers, fruits ,and vegetables. Her all time favorite flower was an orchid. In 1995, she and her husband moved to Georgia to be with their son and grandchildren. Enilda was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one sister. 

Enilda is survived by two sisters Ivette Acevedo (Hector) and Anabelle Rosario (Freddy), son Dennis Martinez (Lisa), two grandchildren Dennis A Martinez (Norissa) and Valeria Martinez, two nieces Linette Martinez (Vanessa) and Zaira Martinez (Nelson), and two grandnephews Nelson Caban (Joemilis) and Jose Caban (Ashley).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington with Pastor Rivera officiating.
