Frank Calvin Garner, 55, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Candler Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Frank was born August 4, 1970 in Norman, Oklahoma to Walter Garner and the late Sandra Kay Fisher. After graduating from Norman High School, Class of ‘88 in Oklahoma, Frank enlisted into the United States Army. Frank was a field artillery surveyor and he also completed Jump School at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He got stationed at Ft. Bragg with the 1st BN 39th Field Artillery Regiment. Frank was deployed during Desert Storm from September’90 until March ‘91 in Saudi Arabia.
After a brief separation from his military service, Frank decided to reenlist into the Army to further his military career. He reclassed to a UAS Operator and was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. In 2015 Frank retired from the military. During his time in the military he received numerous awards and commendations for his exemplary leadership and service. Frank attended Central College and then Columbia College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in general studies. He graduated with honors from both colleges.
Frank was a jack of all trades specializing in security systems and home renovations. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the gun range and shooting pool at the VFW. Frank was very politically active and he worked on President Trump’s 2020 and 2024 campaigns. Most recently he was chairman of the Liberty County Republican Party. Frank was a man of deep faith, he attended The Waterfront Church in Richmond Hill.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Madison Jade Garner and her finance’, Deonte Rabess; father, Walter Garner; siblings, Kenny, Curtis, Angie, Suzi, John, and Camey; best friend and caregiver, Michelle Morgan and her husband Michael.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia where full military honors will be rendered.
