Gary Wayne Ward, 59, of Ludowici died Wednesday, February 23, 2022, unexpectedly at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta from complications of a long-term illness.
Gary was born on January 5,1963 in Detroit, Michigan to William B. Ward and Caroline (Cowan) Ward. Gary was given the precious gift of a life-saving bone marrow transplant on January 10, 2014, from an anonymous donor and was able to celebrate his re-birthday this year and he expressed his gratitude for this gift to all who knew him. Gary made Ludowici, Georgia his home in 2018 and cherished his new country lifestyle with his dogs, Tessa, Luke, and Wilbur. He will be missed dearly by so many whose lives he touched over the years.
Gary was preceded in death by his devoted partner of 30 years, John; his parents, and nephew, Christopher. He is survived by his sister, Rhonda Carvell, and two nieces, Stephanie Leming and Kati McNanley; and many dear friends that loved and adored him.
