Gloria “Shelly” Hannington, 56, passed away Friday, December 5th, 2025 after a hard fought battle with three different cancers over the past decade.
Shelly was born August 8th, 1969 in Olney, Texas. As most people know everything in Texas is BIGGER as was Shelly’s life. She loved BIG and was an amazing wife, mother and Yaya. Shelly owned and operated a painting company in her earlier years. Once she became a mother her focus was on her family. Shelly loved gardening, scrapbooking, and playing games with her family. She also loved Christmas, her favorite time of the year. The love of her life was Christopher Hannington, gone before her, but now they are happily reunited together in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her family every day.
Shelley is survived by her daughters, Danielle Candelaria (Spencer Candelaria) and Jessica Lozon (Benjamine Arroyo); her sons, Caden Hannington and Tucker Hannington; her grandchildren, Aldin Lozon and Kora Montgomery.
Shelly’s final resting place is with her husband at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville,Georgia.
Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
