Gregory “Greg” Thomas Coleman, 59, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Greg was born December 12, 1961 in Pasadena, Texas to parents, Leonard and Joyce Coleman. Greg attended high school in Long Beach, California. After graduation he worked for a while in the oil fields of Wyoming before enlisting in the United States Army. Greg served in the military for 21 years and retired while stationed at Ft. Stewart where he made Liberty County home for him and his family. After retiring from the military, Greg worked on Ft. Stewart as a contractor and his most recent employment was with Claxton Poultry. Greg loved camping, football, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. Greg will be greatly missed by his family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Coleman and his sister, Vicky.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Sabine Coleman of Hinesville; four daughters, Crystal Vaughn (Freddy), Kayla Perry, Sarah Phillips (Jason) and Lisa Crow (Thomas); six grandchildren, Kaylee, Evan, Ashayla, Clayton, Kacen and Aubrey; father, Leonard Coleman; sister, Sheila Stanfield and brother, Mark Coleman.
Services will be private.
