Harry Yarbrough Obituary

Harry Jackson Yarbrough, 73, passed away peacefully in his home on May 3, 2025 in Brunswick, Georgia.

Harry was born on November 6, 1951, in Hinesville, Georgia. He lived a life rooted in hard work, deep devotion to family, and an unwavering generosity that touched everyone who knew him. Harry spent the majority of his working years in the drywall industry, contributing his skills and dedication to both Glynn Drywall and Golden Isles Drywall. For a time, Harry also ventured into business ownership with his own drywall company-a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic. For more than five decades, Harry shared his life with his beloved wife, Janice Yarbrough. Together they built a family that was the center of Harry’s world. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lille Mae Yarbrough, brothers, James, Donald, and Roger Yarbrough, sisters, Nancy Holtzclaw and Judy Yetter.

Outside of work and family life, Harry found joy in simple pleasures-gardening under the Georgia sun and casting a line while fishing. He also enjoyed cheering on his favorite NASCAR races and cheering for the Atlanta Braves. These hobbies brought him peace and excitement alike. Known for being “bullheaded as all get out”, Harry had a personality that was larger than life. He kept those around him laughing with his sharp wit and unfiltered humor. But beneath that tough exterior was a heart of gold-he was fiercely protective of those he loved and so generous that he would give both his last two dollars and the shirt off his back to someone in need.

A special heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone at Heartland Hospice for the loving care they provided to Harry and his family during the final chapter of his life. May Harry’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of love freely given and laughter shared.

Harry is survived by his and Janice’s 3 children, Lisa Kiebach (Fred), Paul Yarbrough (Kristy), and Clyde Yarbrough; his legacy continues through his grandchildren, Shelly Boga (Josh), Christina Brantley (Michael), Dalton Yarbrough, Pierce Yarbrough, and Brian Yarbrough; his great-grandchildren, Samuel, Cameron, Tigan, Elijah, and Miley. Harry is also remembered by his brother, Frank Yarbrough (Faye), and sister, Elaine Curry. Extended family members include, Roger Darrell Brantley and Kim Teston.
