James “Jimmy” Daniell Obituary

James “Jimmy” Douglas Daniell, 51, passed away at East Georgia Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Jimmy was born in Heidelberg, Germany to Leslie and Mary Jane, on June 7, 1973. He was a native of Hinesville, Georgia. Jimmy’s parents later moved their family to Savannah, Ga. Where he graduated class of 1993, from Windsor Forest High School. Jimmy was employed at AMT custom Designs, where he loved his co-workers and boss. Prior to, he also worked at Gulfstream and Great Dane.

Jimmy enjoyed mud bogging on the side by side with his best friend Rudy Landon and late friend Kenny Clark and catching up with his beloved cousin Randy Williams. Jimmy was a free spirit, always the life of the party, and never met a stranger. He always tried to make people around him laugh and often used the phrase “What's up pimp” Jimmy always saw the best in people and never missed an opportunity to tell his family and friends that he loved them. He was an avid fan of the Ga. Bulldogs and never missed a game. He loved to talk smack to his nephew Clayton, an Alabama fan. Jimmy is proceeded in death by his grandparents Vincent Douglas Williams Sr. and Mary Helen Williams, His mother and father Bruce and Mary Jane Sweetin, Biological father Leslie Daniell, and aunt and uncle Jack and Pat Deloach.

Surviving are his daughter Mallory Lyons (Caleb) and 4 grandchildren Mason, Brodie, Riley, and Palmer Lyons. His sister Wendy Helen Strickland (John), his uncle and aunt Doug and Susan Williams, nieces and nephews Justin Winters, Clayton Winters (Emily), Austin Winters (Brett), and Madison Coleman (Layne). Delilah Jane and Maeleigh Jo. And several cousins whom he loved very much.

Honorary pallbearers: Rudy Landon, Randy Williams, Adam McDaniel, John Strickland.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.

The family will be having A Celebration of Jimmy’s life on Saturday, January 18, 2025.  Please call Wendy for more information.
