Janice Yarbrough, 71, of Hinesville, GA, passed away peacefully at home in Brunswick, Georgia on January 12, 2026.
Janice was well known for her unprecedented work ethic, dedication to friends and family as well as her ability to turn simple gatherings into a lively celebration especially when her infamous punch was introduced. She was born in Hinesville in 1954 to Paul C. Fricks and Stella Payntor. Janice attended Eastridge High School before heading into the work force. Janice spent the majority of her life working in the customer service industry for various companies. She married the love of her life, Harry Yarbrough, in 1971 in Long County, Georgia, and spent over five decades building a life most only dream of. They couldn't wait to start a family of their own and their children meant the world to them. Though she loved cooking, entertaining and horseback riding.
Janice treasured her role as a grandparent. She adored her time with her grandkids and great grandkids and loved being their Memaw, never failing to make sure they were fed, entertained and loved. Every time the grandchildren stayed overnight, Janice ensured they woke to a size able, traditional Southern breakfast and were well fed before they went home.
Janice will always be remembered for her generous yet fiesty nature and the way that she made each visit feel warm and inviting. We'll always imagine hearing her say "Bring it up again and we'll vote on it!" one more time. We couldn't have asked for a better parent, grandparent, great grandparent, we will miss Janice everyday. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who love her.
A special, heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone at Heartland Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort and support afforded to Janice and her family throughout the final days of Janice's life as though she was a part of their own family. Their generousity and love is enduring and will be etched in our hearts and minds always.
