Born October 3, 1950 in Savannah, Georgia, Jerry Gerome Griffin went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Candler Hospital in Savannah.
Dad went through prolonged health issues for quite sometime. After the death of his beloved wife last January, he couldn’t wait to be with her once again. Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra Griffin, mother Edna Griffin, father Lonnie Gerome Griffin Jr and eldest brother, Danny Griffin. Jerry left behind many friends and loved ones from Georgia to Tennessee. His impact on those he met throughout his life was unforgettable. You’ll be missed by many Daddy, by us all. We’ll carry the lessons you taught us with us always. Rest easy now…..
Jerry is survived by his youngest brother, Terry Griffin (Veronica Griffin), a daughter, Sarah McCartney (Carey McCartney), a son, Lonnie Gerome Griffin III (wife), four grandchildren, Dustin, Alyssa, Jessica, and Haley and 8 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
Graveside services will be Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Dorchester Cemetery on Islands Highway.
Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
