Jimmy Edward Thomas

Jimmy Edward Thomas, 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Jimmy was born in Douglas, Georgia to parents, Jimmy Ward Thomas and Dossey Crews Thomas on July 24, 1965.  He was a former Chief of The Walthourville Fire Department where he is also a current employee. 

Jimmy is survived by wife, Kathy Bell Thomas of Allenhurst; daughter, Jessicca Thomas; grandson, Cayden Vickers; granddaughter, Anna Thomas; sister, Tammy Thompson (James); brother-in-law, Gary Bell; brother, Wesley Thomas; sister, Debbie Williams; nieces, Elizabeth Clough, Jamie Henderson, Savannah Chastine and Christina Wetzel; nephews, Roger Carter and Christopher Wetzel; cousins, Michelle Polanco, Casey Wright and Jennifer Diliegros; Aunt Hun, Uncle Clarence. and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Casey Wright officiating with burial to follow in the Hinesville Cemetery.
