JoAnn Marie Orfao McIntosh, 63, passed away on February 18, 2022.
JoAnn was born in Boston, Ma. on April 28, 1958 to John Orfao and Virginia DiVito Orfao. JoAnn was a graduate of Hull High School and attended Boston University where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy. JoAnn was employed as an Activity Therapist throughout most of her life as she traveled to many locations as a military spouse. JoAnn enjoyed raising her family, working with elderly people, and supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. She will be dearly missed by family and many friends.
JoAnn is survived by her husband David “Dee” L. McIntosh III of Hinesville Ga,. two sons David L. McIntosh IV (Andrea) of Springfield, Ga. and Jonathan R. McIntosh (Bridget) of Chesapeake, Va. and one daughter, Tiffany McIntosh of Odum, Ga.. Her father, John Orfao of Hull, Ma., five grand children, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Brennon, Grayson and McKinlee; sisters, Elizabeth Mele (Bob), Janet Riscica (Tony) and Gina Gerfao (Ciera); brothers, Phillip Orfao (Cathy), Michael Orfao (Nancy) and John Orfao ( Shelly).
A visitation for JoAnn will be at Thomas Carter Funeral Home on Friday, February 25 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. On Saturday, February 26 there will be a Funeral Mass at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 1:00 pm with Father Minch officiating followed by a burial service at the McIntosh Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in JoAnn’s name.
