Joe Turner Tooley, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away at home on December 30, 2024.
Joe lived a life of service, dedication, and love for
both his country and family The son of Ervin and Delma Tooley, Joe Tooley was born on November 10, 1955 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky and attended Monroe County High School. At the age of 18, Joe Tooley enlisted in the Army. Joe Tooley valued this service highly and served his country for 22 years and attained the rank of
Sergeant First Class. He loved to fish, listen to music, go to the movies, watch soccer, bbq and spend time with his family.
Joe Turner Tooley is survived by his loving wife, Helga Tooley; son, Shaun Kevin Tooley; daughter, Natalie Tooley; son-in-law, Kenneth Berry; daughter-in-law, Lakisha Tooley and grandchildren, Aleticia, Kevin and Mariah Tooley; sisters, Rachel Tooley and Diana Boykins (Danny); brothers, Ricky Tooley and Michael Tooley. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9th, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors being rendered.
