John I. Bartholomew, aged 77, born on October 20, 1947 in Memphis, TN and passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 in Hinesville, GA.

John was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather.  John dedicated over 24 years of his life to serving in the United States Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. His military career included service during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm, reflecting his unwavering dedication and bravery.  Through his love for computers which began as a cherished hobby, he transformed his life and career into the civilian sector as a Computer Operator, and Network Administrator ultimately becoming an esteemed Information Technology Specialist.  Over the course of 19 years, he served in the Federal System leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.

John had a passion for storytelling and was known for his ability to captivate those around him with engaging tales. In his free time, he found joy in comic books, sci-fi novels, and had an appreciation for low-budget films, particularly martial arts movies. His infectious energy and love for music created unforgettable moments.  Known for his off-key singing and enthusiastic dancing, he was a vibrant soul, and the life of the party.  Beyond his lively personality, John was incredibly giving.  He always ensured his family had everything they needed.  His generosity and love created a nurturing home filled with warmth and happiness.  Always eager to embrace new experiences, he kept up with trends and enjoyed exploring the ever-changing world around him.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Mary A. Bartholomew; his daughters, Valerie Person and Celeste Hudson; his nephew, Jermaine Jackson; and his grandchildren, Dante Bartholomew, Alaya Okokon, and Cash Hudson.

His memory will be cherished by those who knew him, and the stories he shared will continue to bring smiles for years to come.
