John Glen Lewis, 51, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 22, 2021.
John was born September 7, 1970 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany to parents, Jack and Beate (Hill) Lewis. John’s family made Liberty County their home after his father retired here from the military. He was a graduate of Bradwell Institute, Class of ‘90. After graduation John started a career in maintenance, he was currently working for Rotary Corporation in Glennville. John was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, he also had a love for firearms. He enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with his family. John looked forward to family time and family gatherings, he loved his moms cooking, specifically her cucumber salad. He loved to travel, especially traveling to the mountains or going anywhere with his family. John attended A New Beginning Church in Ludowici. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Angel Lewis of Hinesville; step-son, Joshua Hardison (Terasa) of Ludowici; parents, Jack and Beate Lewis of Hinesville; brother, Scott Lewis (Deena) of Valdosta, Georgia; six grandchildren; nieces, Mariah and Kylie Lewis; brother in Christ, Stanley Fay (Pam); sister in Christ, Karen Smith (Shane) and their daughters, Ashlynn and Shanna Smith and extended family members in Germany and the United States including the nine foreign exchange students that lived with his family throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 7:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington with Pastor Tom Gardner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
