John Earl Tippins

Johnny Earl Tippins, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 2, 2021.

Johnny was born in Ft. Benning, Georgia on September 15, 1952 to the late H.C. Tippins and Mary (Skipper) Tippins. He attended and later graduated from school in Columbus.  After moving to the Long County area he went to work for Hinesville Carpet.  Johnny enjoyed the country life where he spent his spare time word-working, fishing, and just being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Johnny will be missed by his family and friends.

Johnny leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Tippins of Ludowici; two sons, James Tippins of Hinesville and Larry Tippins (Rebecca) of Jesup; brother, Larry E. Tippins of Fortson, Georgia; grandson, Bryce Silk of Jesup and many other extended family members and friends.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to your favorite charity in memory of Johnny.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm at New Beginning Church with Pastor Tom Gardner officiating.
