Joseph William Richey was born on August 18, 1993 to Joseph Edward Richey and Kimberly Richey. On the afternoon of January 22, 2022 our Father in Heaven called Joseph home, he was 28 years old.
Joseph graduated high school from Bradwell Institute in 2011. After graduating he took various jobs learning many skills, from painting, landscaping and one of his many passions, cooking. He lived in Florida for some time working with his Granny, Pamela Snider as a cook in her restaurant. He also worked with Overhead door of Savannah installing garage doors with his father, Joseph E. Richey.
Joseph loved to be outdoors. He holds the record for tubing on the Altamaha River, having been able to hang on the longest. He also loved the family trips to Lake Guntersville, Cloudland Canyon and numerous other places he would travel
to with his family. Exploring the great outdoors was a favorite pass time of Joseph’s. His free spirit kept him moving, exploring life. He was always willing to give what he had to someone that was in need, whether it was a friend, family member or complete stranger. Joseph just wanted to help in anyway he could. As was evident when he made the personal decision to be a organ donor. Even after death Joseph is still helping others. He loved children and they loved his easy going nature. Joseph also loved animals, and he rescued several in his lifetime. And above all, he loved his family. He is loved my so many and will be greatly missed by them all.
