Kendall “Clay” C. Ward, Jr.

Kendall Clayton “Clay” Ward, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Clay was born on March 13, 1979, in Savannah, to Kendall C. Ward, Sr. and Patricia Horne Ward. From a young age, Clay was a curious child who loved being outdoors and exploring the world around him. In his later years, he worked in the food industry, where he was known as a hard worker who was dependable and dedicated. Clay was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors, especially when accompanied by his loyal sidekick and best friend, his dog, Duke.

Clay is survived by his loving parents; his brother, Patrick Aaron Ward (Michelle); his nephew, Jacob Dean Ward; his niece, Breanne Wertman (Zach); several extended family members; and last, but certainly not least, his beloved dog, Duke.

Clay will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others.
