Laci Anne Straehly

Laci Anne Straehly was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 11, 2021 with her mom and dad by her side at Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah.

Laci was born in Savanah, Georgia to Michael and Meliza on July 6, 2005 and grew up in Midway, Ga.  She attended Liberty County High School as a junior and was an honor student who was involved in chorus. Laci always had the biggest smile in the room; and always knew that God is in control. Laci enjoyed singing with the praise team and working in the nursery at church. While not in school Laci loved the beach, horses and playing jokes on her sisters. She loved everything Batman and Olaf the Snowman! Laci was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April of this year. Laci never let the cancer diagnosis shake her faith. She told her parents that if anyone had to have cancer, she was thankful that it was her and not her sisters. Laci was a prayer warrior for everyone; while in the hospital Laci prayed over all the beds for current and future patients to be healed, even though she was in treatment herself.

Laci is survived by her parents, Michael and Meliza, as well as her older sister, Lydia and younger but taller sister, Lauren. Laci is loved and will be missed by all who were in her life.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at Fleming Baptist Church with Bishop Art Stoddard and Pastor Joshua Parker, Sr. officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet UMC Church Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be: Gabriel Stoddard, Charles Mason, Robbie Garbeth, Ray Fowler, Timmy Blount and Michael Akers.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at Fleming Baptist Church.
