Larry Darnell Campbell, 70, passed away Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at Memorial Medical Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
Larry was born June 23, 1954 in Blytheville, Arkansas to his late parents, Willie Campbell, Sr. and Lubertha Jones Campbell. He was a native of Blytheville, Arkansas and also attended schools in the area. Larry joined the Air Force after his schooling. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and very proud of his accomplishments. Larry enjoyed life to its fullest and especially enjoyed being with family and all of his extended relatives. He was very giving and would help anyone in need if possible. Larry loved kids, loved to dance and play dominoes “Bones”. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fred, Columbus, Charles, and Willie, Jr.; sisters, Thelma Jean Torres, Shirley Scott and Diann Campbell. Larry will be dearly missed by his family.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Norman Campbell and wife, Barbara of Hinesville, GA. and their children, Demario and Demarcus Taylor; and sister, Betty Penn of California; special friends, Dozier and Carrie Williams; cousins and extended relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington with Rev. Alvin Jackson officiating. Committal services will be held at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia at 1:00 pm. Military honors from the United States Air Force will be rendered.
