Linda D. Harrison, 71, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 in Savannah, Georgia after a long illness.
Linda was born in Savannah on January 22, 1949 to the late Willard and Virginia (Cannon) Dorsey. She attended school in Chatham County. After high school she worked for WTOC, Youth Challenge on Ft. Stewart and Pineland Respite Home in Jesup. She was member of the VFW Post 6602 Cooties. Linda enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always opened her home up to her children’s friends and treated them like they were hers. Linda was preceded in death her parents.
Linda is survived by her husband of 16 years, Glenn Harrison; three boys, Jason Stewart, Joey Harrison (Tessa) and Jeffrey Harrison; nine grandchildren, Stevie, Lexi, Bailey, Addy, Ryan, Logan, Brady, Kaelynn and Dylan; four great grandchildren, brother, Mickey Dorsey (Linda); brothers in law, Roy Harrison (Debbie), John Harrison (Alicia), Joe Harrison (Shirley) and Charlie Harrison (Rose) and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington. We are asking everyone to please bring and wear a mask. Live streaming of the service will be on the funeral homes Facebook page.
Linda was a mom and granny to all!
