Linda Joy Malone

Linda Joy Malone, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 1, 2022 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Linda was born on July 28, 1951 to the late Oliver Elwood Garrison and Joyce Jean Creasy Garrison in Columbia, Missouri. She grew up in Columbia and attended Hickman High School. Linda and her family moved to the Liberty County area in the early ‘90’s. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, mud bogging, yard sales, watching tv and deep sea fishing, especially for sharks. Linda was preceded in death by parents, 2 grandsons and 1 great grandson. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Linda is survived by, 5 children, Matt Stewart (Sammi) of Missouri, Shelly Riess (Tim) of Illinois, Meegan Stewart of Missouri, Marcie Stewart of Georgia and Markie Peoples (Lance) of Georgia; 6 bonus children that she loved as her own; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 on the way, several other bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family members.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington. Linda will be laid to rest at a later date in Columbia, Missouri.
