Marlene Chambless Brown

Marlene Brown, 88, passed away Saturday, August 9th, 2025 peacefully at home, with family by her side, while under the care of hospice. 

Marlene was born September 8, 1936 in Ludowici, Georgia to the late, Marion Chambless and Gwendolyn Moren Chambless. She was a devoted wife and mother. Marlene’s love and kindness still lives on in so many lives that she touched over the years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. Marlene was an amazing cook and that was one of the many things she blessed her family with as much as possible, a hearty and loving meal. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard L. Brown, son, Johnny Brown, brothers, Wallace Chambless, Dan Chambless, Dewayne Chambless and Buddy Chambless and sister, Sherry Blanton. Marlene will be missed greatly by her family and close friends. 

Marlene is survived by her daughter, Laura Shaver; son, Paul Brown; 2 grandchildren, Brandi Brown and Ian Brown; great-grandson, Damen Kennett; brother, Donnie Chambless (Debbie); sister-in-law, Judy Chambless and several extended family members.
