Marva Francisca Williams Pierre, 59, went to her Heavenly Home Sunday, December 10, 2023.
Marva was born December 21, 1963 in the city of Port of Spain on the Island of Trinidad and Tobago to the late Stetson and Lillian Williams. As a young child Marva was very creative and she enjoyed learning new things and she enjoyed a challenge. She was the type of person who did not wait on anyone to do anything for her, if she wanted something done she did it herself. After she completed her education she went straight into the workplace where she could be more independent. In 1980 she met the love of her life, Shurland Pierre, who was enlisted in the United States Army. In 1988 they were married while living in California. After many years of moving around to different army bases the Pierre’s settled down in Ludowici, Georgia in March of this year.
Marva is survived by her husband, Shurland Pierre of Ludowici; son, Gabriel Constantine of Tennessee; siblings, Lyder Williams, Sandra Williams, Deborah Williams, Hugh Jr. Williams (Ingrid), Yvonne Arnold, Lawrence Williams, twin brother, Michael Williams (Vanessa), and Cecil Williams (Annie); sister-in-law, Cherryl Joseph; nieces, Tracy, Diane, Rhonda, Precious, Peaches and Khandi; nephews, Dylan, Cyann, Jamal, Joseph and Bjorn; great nephews, Adeem and Akim; great-great grandnephew and niece, Jani and Arya; bestest friends, Joyce and Richard Morin and their children, Christine and Cassidy; close friends, Cheryl and Jr. Boatswain; Vivian and Vick Robinson; Cynthia, Gertrude Thompson and many other family and close friends.
Visitation services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home.
Burial will follow funeral services at 3:00 pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
