Michael Wallace Zorn, 64, of Hinesville, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021.
Mike loved his family beyond measure. He had a passion for camaros, bracket racing, and restoring classic cars. Mike loved drag racing and sharing his love of cars with others. He took pride in teaching high school students at Bradwell Institute, where he worked for over 30 years. He built lifelong relationships with those that he worked with and those that he taught. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. Mike was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Alma Zorn; brother, Ricky Zorn; and son, Travis Zorn.
Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Missy Zorn; two daughters, Casey Buckner (Jason) and Tonya Dill; two grandchildren, Cameron and Caylee Buckner; his sister, Betty “Dolly” Wise; along with many other family members and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Joe Richey, Dennis Richey, Clinton Wells, Josh Guyett, Will Robinson, and Travis Wells.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dr. Doug McCart officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery. Mike’s funeral service will be live-streaming through the funeral homes Facebook page.
Friends and family are all welcome to attend Mike’s services. Social distancing practices will be in effect and masks are encouraged.
