Mysti Leeann (Dykes) Elder

Mysti Leeann Dykes Elder, 37, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Mysti was born December 12, 1986 in Savannah, Georgia to parents, Byron Dykes and the late, Tracy Bergeron Dykes. She was a lifelong resident of Liberty County. Mysti was a graduate of Liberty County High School Class of ‘05. She loved makeup and enjoyed experimenting on herself with different colors and shades always trying to get that perfect look. Mysti was very passionate about animals, you could find her feeding and taking care of stray cats that were in need. She was a very sweet and caring person who loved being with her family and friends. Mysti also loved listening to music. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tracy, her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Eudine Dykes, her maternal grandmother, Gloria Bergeron, and her uncle, Don Dykes. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Mysti is survived by her children, Landon, Owen, Xander and Emma; her father, Byron Dykes; her sister, Melissa Castellanos (Eric); her brother, Heith Dykes (Brittany); her grandfather, Otto Dykes; many cousins and other extended family members. 

A visitation will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.

A memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm following the visitation at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roy Broughman officiating.
