Nina M. (Pippin) Jones

Nina M. Pippin Jones, 80, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at home with family by her side after a courageous three year battle with lung cancer.

Nina was born in Nashville, Tennessee September 21, 1942 to parents Willis H. Pippin and Arlie May Gant Pippin. She grew up in Nashville and decided she wanted a fresh start so she along with her daughter moved to the Hinesville area to be near her sister. In 1975 she met and married the love of her life, Donald L. Jones, Sr. Nina worked for many years on Ft. Stewart as a telephone operator and property book manager. In the early 90’s Nina retired and enjoyed being a full time grandmama. In her spare time Nina liked bowling, crafting, and thrift shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Harlis and Roger and sisters, WillaDean and Ovella. 

Nina is survived by her daughter, Sharon Herr (Bruce); stepson, Lee Jones (Pam); grandson, Wesley Herr (Elizabeth), brother, John D Pippin (Bobbie); several nieces and nephews and special friends, Shelia Morgan, Shirley Davis, Linda and Tom Rahn and Elaine Johnson.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bridge Hospice, 119 Canal Street Ste. 103, Pooler, Georgia 31322 in remembrance of Nina. 

Nina’s family would like to thank the awesome nurses that provided care and comfort during this time.
