Ok Cha Mobley, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at home while under the care of hospice.
Ok Cha was born June 4, 1940 to the late Jae Ki Pak and Chong Shui Kim in Korea. She spent her younger years in Korea until she met a handsome young soldier, Clifton Mobley, who was stationed in Korea at the time. Cliff swept her off of her feet and brought her back to the states to settle down and start a family. After being stationed at various military posts around the world the Mobley’s finally made it back home to Georgia after retirement where Cliff was born and raised. Ok Cha was very active in church and especially like singing in the choir. Ok Cha was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of the Allenhurst Presbyterian Church. She was also an elder at Mok Chun Presbyterian church. Ok Cha was a very hard worker who enjoyed life and loved everyone. Ok Cha was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Mobley and her parents. She will be greatly missed by many.
Ok Cha is survived by her daughter, AnnaMarie Whitmore (David); 3 grandchildren, Maddison, McKenzie and Nikolas Whitmore; brothers, Song Ho Pak and Andrew Pak; sisters, SongHee Ghim and Irene Thompson; her in-laws, Ovedia, Geraldine, Marilyn, Patricia and Eddie Mobley; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 at 6:30 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington with Rev. Ben Beasley officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 6:30 at the funeral home prior to the service.
