Oswald “Buddy” Holton

Oswald (Buddy) Holton, age 91, of Midway passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Magnolia Manor.

Buddy was a native of Coffee County who had lived in Liberty County for 60 + years. He was an owner and operator of Buddy’s Grocery in Midway and retired with 32 years of service from Coastal EMC of Midway. He was a member of Midway United Methodist church. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Holton and son, Robert Harold Holton.

Survivors are: sons and daughters in law James (Kenny) & Lynn Holton, Richard & Tracy Holton, Larry Holton all of Midway; a brother Quincy Holton of Cumming, GA; sisters Lillie Mae Taylor of Jacksonville ,Fl., Lavada Sweat of Waycross, GA, Virginia Cooper of Broxton, GA,  Abby (Pee Wee) Martinez of Waycross, GA, and Marie Hutchison of Nicholas, GA; Twelve grandchildren & twenty-three great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 10am to 11am at Midway Methodist Church in Midway, GA. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Charles (Hank) Perry officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers: Wesley Jacobs, Logan McMichaels, Richard Holton, Jr., Robert Holton, Adrian Moreira, Eddie Bargeron and Joshua Clowers.
