Patricia “Pat” Agnes Sippel, 80, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 surrounded by her loving family, while under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Pat was born August 12, 1943 in Rock Island, Illinois to her late parents, Bernard J. and Cecelia A. Vandenbossche Melly. Pat was a graduate of Alleman Catholic High School, class of ‘61. She was the CEO at ACME corporation from 1980 to 2001. She also worked at Savannah Technical College. Pat was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Pat was passionate about the veterans in the community and spent her time volunteering for several organizations and causes dear to her heart. The VFW Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, Vietnam Veterans Associates, and St. Stephen Catholic Church, are just a few organizations that Pat spent time helping out with. She was always ready to help anyone, in anyway, that she could.
Pat was an active member at St. Stephen Catholic Church for over 20 years. She served as a Lecture and Eucharistic Minister during Mass at the church. Pat was also involved in many committees within the Church. She was President of St. Vincent DePaul Society, a member of the Bereavement Committee, and the CCW and Faith Formation. Being very creative led Pat to her love of creating and crafting, whether it was quilting, crochet, sewing, or cooking she was always ready to learn and teach her craft to others. Pat also led a Craft group, Silver Liners and Prayer Warriors. The craft group every month for a craft day at the church to discuss new projects, patterns, and ideas. For her dedication and great service to St. Stephen, Pat also received the Gartland Award.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Daniel S. Sippel, Sr.; sons, Daniel S. Sippel, Jr. (Carole) and Kenneth B. Sippel (Elizabeth); grandsons, Matthew T. Sippel (Leah) and Hunter J. Sippel; granddaughters, Caroline A. Ayala and Shai A. Crowe; great grandson, Matthew A. Ayala and several other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the Vigil service beginning at 7:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church. A committal service will be held later in the day at 1:00 pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
