Rhondala Kay Stevens, 65, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at home with family by her side while under the care of hospice.
Below is a heartfelt message from her beloved son, Jermy Ryan-Lee Putnam
“My mother Rhondala Kay Stevens was a strong woman. She is the reason I work as hard as I do. She taught me dedication, always complete what you started, and above all pick yourself up and keep moving forward. We had our differences, but she gave me life. And I am eternally grateful for her. My mom was a respiratory therapist, an orthotist, and the last 23 years civil service for the Army. Her diagnosis was rapid, terminal, and painful. I am thankfully I made it to her in time to say I Love
You. I was able to hold her hand until the end, and I am thankful for that! She is not in pain anymore, she is with my granny and papa in heaven. And I have another angel watching over me. Above all, I
know she loved me and was proud of me.”
Rhondala is survived by her husband, Timothy “Tim” Stevens and her son, Jermy Ryan-Lee Putnam.
Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
