Ricky Allen Wright, Jr., 46, transitioned this life on December 30, 2023.
Ricky, Jr. was born on July 18, 1977 in Killeen, Texas. He was born to parents, Ricky Wright, Sr. and the late, Judy Ann Wright. Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Ann and his sister, Richelle Ann Wright Chisholm who just passed away one month ago after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Being part of a military family Ricky traveled all over the country with his family until moving to the Liberty County area in the early ‘90’s. In June of 1997 Ricky graduated from Bradwell Institute. After graduating he stayed in the area and went to work on Fort Stewart as a custodial worker at the PX and the Youth Club where he was awarded custodian of the year award. On July 15, 2015 he started the American Works program up until 2023 until his untimely passing.
Ricky leaves behind to cherish his memories his father, Ricky A. Wright, Sr. (Patricia); sisters, Camisha Barton and Tyneeka Wright; brothers, Horace D. Jones (Datheia) and Dontrell Wright; four nephews, Romello Hicks, Trey Johnson, Tedtric Chisholm and Brandon Jones; two nieces, Dazaun Rose and Desiree Chisholm; four grand nieces and two grand nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in the Midway Congregational church cemetery.
