Rose “Rosie” Smith

Rose “Rosie” Hung Yuk Smith, 47, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Liberty Regional Medical Center.

Rosie was born February 21, 1976 in Cleveland, Ohio.  She grew up in Cleveland and Florida before moving to the Liberty County area to be near family. Rosie lived a very simple and happy life.  She was an avid reader and she loved to cook. Rosie loved to have deep conversations and was a very good story teller. She worked for many years as a clerk at Flash Foods. Rosie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Che Keung Siu. She will be greatly missed by her husband, her family, and her close friends.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Robert “Smitty” Smith of Hinesville; son, Dylan Siu of Pensacola, Florida; grandson, Dakota  and granddaughter, Addison; mother, Carla of Clearwater, Florida and three brothers, Thomas, Anthony and Andrew all of Tennessee.

Private services will be held in Florida at a later date.

Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home, Flemington, is handling arrangements.
