SFC (Ret.) Robert Daniel Ragan

SFC (Ret.) Robert Daniel Ragan, 67, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.

Robert was born in Augusta, Georgia June 12, 1955 to the late Carl and Louise Ragan. He attended the Academy of Richmond County and graduated in 1975. After graduation Robert immediately enlisted into the army where he served for over 20 years. While serving he did two tours to Germany. Robert was awarded with many awards, ribbons and medals while serving his country. After retirement from the service he drove semis on long hauls all over the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Andrea. Robert will be greatly missed by his family and those that loved him.

Suvivors include his wife of 47 years, Wanda Ragan; son, Robert Ragan, Jr., son, Christopher Ragan (April), son, Jared Ragan (Amber) and daughter, Shanna Schulte (William); 8 grandchildren; siblings, David, Rene and LeDean; and many other extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with full military honors being honored.
