Santos Rodriguez Vega

Santos Rodriguez Vega, 77, passed away surrounded by her loved ones Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Santos was born September 15, 1947 in Guayama, Puerto Rico to parents, Antonio Rodriguez and Agustina Vega. She grew up in Puerto Rico. Santos enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles and she was an exceptional cook. She came to the states in 1988 where she lived in Philadelphia for many years before moving to Georgia. Santos was of the Christian faith. She was a member of the El Buen Samaritano Church in Glennville, Georgia pastored by Pastor Rubenio Acosta. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. Santos lived a life full of faith and devoted much of her to helping others and she was there when anyone needed her. She will be dearly missed by her family and many others her life has touched. 

Survivors: husband of 58 years, Juan Rodriguez; children, Juan U. Rodriguez (Lissette), Victor M. Rodriguez, Maria L. Rodriguez and Dilma G. Rodriguez; 5 grandchildren, Juan M. Rodriguez, Joan M. Cotto Rodriguez, Xavier Benoit-Rodriguez, Luis I. Rodriguez and Nathaniel Rodriguez; 3 great-grandchildren, Mia Rose, Jace Jose’ and Ezekiel B.; sisters, Mercedez Rodriguez and Luz E. Rodriguez; special nieces, Vilma Montero, Margarita Solis and Aida Solis; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Rubenio Acosta officiating. Burial will follow at the Hinesville Cemetery on Shaw Road.
