Steve Roy Cochran, 65, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Liberty Regional Medical Center.
Steve was born on July 13, 1955 to Theron Bartie and Lillie Beatrice (Roberts) Cochran in Balboa, Panama. He attended high school in Pensacola, Florida. Steve joined the United States Army in 1973 where he spent two of the greatest years of his life surrounded by a very tight knit group of Army Rangers from Vietnam. After serving 8 years in the military Steve was stationed at Ft. Stewart and decided to make Liberty County his home. He went into the construction business, eventually starting his own construction company where he built many homes, he was in the home remodeling business. Steve loved surfing, waterskiing, fishing and hunting, he was a very avid outdoorsman. He was a Christian and was a man of deep faith. Steve retired after he suffered a spinal cord injury, which left him wheel chair bound.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Heather Hodge; grandchildren, Steven Hodge (Latrina) and their children, Harper and Daxon and Aaron Hodge (Lina) and their children, Ava and Kenzleigh; brother, Gene Cochran; sister, Carolyn Belson and care giver, Wanda Cochran; and other extended family members.
