Steven Edwin Middleton, 60, died peacefully with his loving wife, Jillene, by his side on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, Georgia after battling COVID-19.
Steve was a native of Brunswick, Georgia and formally of Hinesville, Georgia. He was born April 16, 1961 in Savannah, Georgia. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Shirley Way Middleton, by his mother, Sue Morris Middleton and by his beautiful daughter, Stephanie Gail Lins. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jillene Strickland Middleton of Midway, Georgia, by his sister, Cynthia Joye Middleton of Hinesville, Georgia, by his brother, James Willis (Bill) Middleton (Corinna) of Derry, New Hampshire, by his brother-in-law, Jeff Strickland (Lynn) of Blackshear, Georgia and by his son-in-law, Ryan Lins of Madison, Wisconsin. He is also survived by three nephews, five nieces, ten great nephews and four great nieces.
Steve graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1979. Afterwards, he served one tour in the US Navy. He was an electrician by trade. He worked as a Bowmaster for Wildcat Archery in Pooler, Georgia. Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, golf, hunting and archery. These were his passions and he “played” every opportunity that he could get. Steve loved to cook for family and friends. He could catch, clean and cook anything. He was a life-long member of Narcotics Anonymous where he was clean and loved being in recovery. Steve had a good sense of humor and loved to kid around. He made a wonderful and much loved Santa Clause for his family and friends during the Christmas season.

Graveside services will be held at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 3:00 pm with Dr. Reggie Burgess officiating.
