Susan Todd Obituary

Susan Kay Todd was born on June 20, 1959 to Sue Morris and James Todd.

Susan grew up in Hinesville, Ga with her six siblings, five of which survive her: Sheree Allmon, Matthew Todd, Terri Breaux, Fabienne Houston, and Sandra Frye. Her sister, Alaina Todd, preceded her in death. She leaves behind two maternal children, Jon Mark Braun Jr. and Danielle Sheree Braun, and two step-children,  Michael Joseph Norby and Angela Nicole Norby. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Kayleigh Deal, Robert Braun, Skylar Braun, Cameron Brooks, Brianna Pendleton and Peyton Castle; her granddaughter Autumn Braun preceded her in death. She leaves behind many cousins, neices and nephews and other extended family members. She was loved and adored by all who knew her.

Susan was a woman of many hats, first and foremost she was a mother and a nanny, also a daughter, wife, sister, hard-worker, loyal friend, mentor to many, and a great fishing buddy. She will forever be the rock that kept her family anchored together throughout their lives. Susan retired from the city of Hinesville where she served for many years. She loved fishing for bluegill and red breast in the Georgia rivers where she grew up. She loved camping on the Altamaha River where her and her family made a lifetime of memories while catching fish, riding Jet skis with Tequila; her little chihuahua, cooking bacon and eggs on a Coleman grill, and sitting by the camp fire telling stories.

Susan was never a woman who needed to be fancy. She was happiest when life was simple; just her, her family and her dogs. She loved spending nights just playing board games with her grandchildren. She was a strong woman who had overcome many heartaches and hardships in her lifetime, and she never let life's struggles sway who she was and how she loved those in her life. Susan Kay Todd was truly a beautiful soul. She was also an avid animal lover, who gave charitably to the Liberty Humane Shelter. She rescued many dogs over the years and gave them the happiest and most loving home they could have. Susan Kay Todd was a woman that will never be replaced and will forever be missed by all who knew her. She succumbed to her battle with COVID-19 on August 12, 2021.
