Theresa “Teri” Marie (Garrett) Groover

Theresa “Teri” Marie Garrett Groover, 50, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Liberty Regional Medical Center.

Teri was born May 27, 1971 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma to parents, Patrick and Patricia Garrett. She was born into a military family who traveled to many different Army posts while she was younger. Teri was a graduate of Atholton High School in Clarksville, Maryland. She had lived in the Liberty and Long County area since 1996 which is where she made her home. Teri married the love of her life, Bernard Groover and they had two wonderful children, Lyndsie and Cody. She devoted her life to teaching children about horses and competing in the horse industry. Teri was preceded in death by parents, Patrick and Patricia.  She will be greatly missed by her family and all of those that knew and loved her.

Teri is survived by her children, Lyndsie Groover, Cody Groover, Heather Farris (Gary) and Shanna Groover (Stephen); five grandchildren, Marcus, Sienna, Josie, Charlie and Brantley; sister, Christine Fisher (Thomas), brother, Jassen Garrett (Victoria), brother, Stephen Garrett and sister, Bonny Mancuso (Brad); ex-husband and friend, Bernard Groover; and many other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
