Victor Felix Laboy

Victor Felix Laboy, age 84, of Zephyrhills, Florida, went to be with his Lord and savior on February 26, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia.

Victor was the oldest of 8 children born on April 3rd, 1938 in Guayama Puerto Rico to Vicente Laboy and Francisca Vazquez Laboy. After graduating from high school in 1956, Victor served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged at the rank of PFC. 

Honoring his mother’s wishes he returned to Puerto Rico where he began a beautiful 63 year relationship with Sixta Santiago. Victor then moved to Chicago, IL where he began a dedicated 40 year career in the hospitality industry as a banquet waiter and later retiring as the banquet manager at the Congress Hotel.

In retirement Victor moved to Hinesville GA and even continued his passion for service, working at Joseph Martin Elementary in Hinesville for 10 years.
Victor along with his wife Sixta also served faithfully at the Joseph House ministry of Live Oak Church in Hinesville. In his later years he attended Turning Point Worship Center in Jesup, GA.
Victor is survived by his 5 children; Marybel Laboy, Marisol Gomez (Juan), Victor F. Laboy Jr. (Maria), Lillian Thompson (Hutch) & Luis Enrique Laboy (Aida) along with his 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington. Funeral services will begin at 6:00 pm with Pastor Justin Mitchell officiating. 

Burial will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia with the procession leaving from the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home at 11:30 am.  Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery.
