Yvonne Ewbank Obituary

Yvonne V. Lervold Knapp Ewbank, 93, passed away Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 after a long illness. 

Yvonne was born May 3rd, 1932 in Kellogg, Idaho to the late, Fred and Elena Lervold and was raised in Everett, Washington. After her education she worked for Evergreen Frozen Foods, Weyerhaeuser Timber Company and Simpson-Lee Paper Company before settling in with GTE Directories for 27 years. Yvonne retired as a publishing manager for the Pacific-Northwest region and their Midwest area. Although Yvonne had a career she was also a wife, mother, and homemaker all of her adult life.

Yvonne had been a member and past president of Everett Chapter of The American Business Women’s Association, a member of and held offices in The Everett Soroptimist Club, an Associate Leader in The Campfire Girls Organization, and a member of The Telephone Pioneers. Yvonne and her husband, Lew were co-founders of The Friends of Fort Morris.  They were also members and avid supporters of The Colonial Midway Museum and The LeConte-Woodmanston Foundation. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 28 years, William “Bill” Knapp, and her husband of 26 years, Lewis “Lew” Ewbank. 

Yvonne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathi and Dan Downing of Bellingham, Washington, step-sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Barbara Ewbank of Bee, Nebraska, step-daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Steven Dentinger of Illinois, one grandson, 2 granddaughters, 5 step-grandsons, 2 step-granddaughters and 3 step-great grandsons, dear friends, her “Georgia Family”, Penny and Dick Lonsdale and Miranda McGrath.

The family would like to give a special thank you to dear friends, Dick and Penny Lonsdale and Jenna with Georgia Hospice Care for her kindness and compassion to our mother during her time of need.

Yvonne requested that no services are to be held. She only asked that those who cared, say a prayer or light a candle in her memory.

Yvonne’s final resting place will be next to her husband Lew in The Midway Cemetery.
